Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions of Representation

1. The Relationship

The Casting Portal is owned and operated by StageOne Talent (the “Agency”). By registering an account, you (“the Talent”) appoint the Agency to act as your representative on a non-exclusive, short-term basis for each specific booking secured through this platform.

2. Bookings and Commission

  • Commission: A standard commission of 20% will be deducted from the gross fee of any work booked through the Agency.
  • Subscription Packages: Talent subscribed to a “Monthly Premium Package” are exempt from the 20% commission on bookings, provided their subscription is active and in good standing at the time of the booking and payment.
  • Invoicing: The Agency will invoice the production company on behalf of the Talent.
  • Payment Terms: Funds will be released to the Talent within 10 working days of the Agency receiving cleared funds from the production.
  • Bank Details: Talent must provide valid bank details via their secure profile to facilitate transfers.

3. Exclusivity and Agency Status

  • Once a Talent is “Optioned” or “Booked” for a specific project through StageOne Talent, they are strictly prohibited from changing representation or attempting to bypass the Agency for that specific contract or any subsequent sequels/spin-offs related to that booking.
  • The Agency acts as a facilitator; for the duration of a booking, the Talent is considered a self-employed contractor unless otherwise stated by the production.

4. Production Requirements (NDA and Contracts)

  • NDAs: Talent will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for most productions. Breach of an NDA may lead to immediate legal action by the production company.
  • Production Contracts: Talent must sign all required production contracts and release forms prior to the shoot date.

5. Professional Conduct and Attendance

  • Availability: If Talent marks themselves as “Available” for a date, they are expected to attend. Frequent “no-shows” or late cancellations will result in immediate removal from the portal.
  • On-Set Behavior: Professionalism is mandatory. StageOne Talent reserves the right to terminate representation and remove a Talent’s profile for misconduct, including but not limited to: harassment, drug/alcohol use on set, or unprofessional social media posts regarding a production.
  • Right to Cancel: The Agency and the Production reserve the right to replace Talent for misconduct without payment of the full fee.

6. Profile and Content Standards

  • Accuracy: Talent must keep their headshots, measurements, and contact details up to date.
  • Prohibited Content: There is a Zero Tolerance Policy for nudity, suggestive content, or offensive material on profile pages. Any such content will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
  • Right to Work: It is the Talent’s responsibility to maintain valid “Right to Work” documentation. The Agency cannot legally book or pay Talent without these documents.

7. Limitation of Liability

StageOne Talent and The Casting Portal act as an intermediary. While we strive to ensure payment, we are not liable for the bankruptcy or default of a third-party production company.
